NLRM v4.15 (Aug 22, 2024)

Features/Improvements

Addressed incorrect reporting of NLRM version introduced in v4.14.1 - which was causing support troubleshooting overhead and analytics gap.

Note:
Customers who are already using v4.14.1 are recommended to upgrade to latest version, when possible. There are no other functional improvements or other changes in this release.

NLRM v4.12 (Oct 23 2023)

Features/Improvements

1. FlexNet Publisher updated to version 11.19.4.1

NLRM can now be installed on the following Linux operating systems:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9
  • Rocky Linux 9

Encryption Capability Disclaimer: Please be advised that we have identified occasional issues associated with client-server encryption introduced with this FlexNet Publisher version. As a precautionary measure, we currently advise against utilising this capability. Updates will be provided for a future release which will address these issues.

NLRM v4.0 (Feb 9 2022)

Features/Improvements

Added new features to NLRM configuration tool NLRM configuration tool now supports certificate validation during Auth file installation. The certificate must belong to the License Server it was issued for. The tool will throw a user friendly error and abort the installation if an invalid certificate is used.

NLRM v3.19 (Dec 3 2021)

Features/Improvements

1. Added Suppport for Linux OS
NLRM can now be installed on Linux operating system. Listed below are the Linux distributions best supported:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 (7.6)
  • CentOS 7 (7.6)
  • CentOS 8 (8.2)

2. Added Support for PII masking
NLRM now support ability to mask and export, personal information such as username and machine name.

3. Introduced NLRM configuration tool (updated version of adskflex configuration tool)

4. Added new features to NLRM configuration tool
NLRM configuration tool now supports:

  • Configuring PII masking
  • Configuring proxy server
  • Configuring contact email
  • Verifying connection to Autodesk server

5. Added App setings to license server start event and server uptime heartbeat event
NLRM reports NLRM application settings information to Autodesk

6. Openssl version upgraded to 1.1.1l

NLRM v3.13 (Jun 21 2021)

Enhanced Error tracking
NLRM now sends these additional data points to Autodesk as part of server health monitoring:

  • Total attempted usage heartbeats
  • Total successful usage heartbeats
  • Total runtime error
  • Operating system details
  • Process info
  • User account running NLRM
  • Memory consumption
  • CPU usage by Adskflex

Issue Fixes

1. Long usage tracking intervals
Previously, for customers with custom port configurations or Autodesk products installed alongside NLRM, usage tracking may have functioned at slow intervals, or “No such feature exists” errors may have appeared in logs.

2. Changes in behavior

  • Autodesk products installed alongside NLRM no longer affect usage tracking.
  • Usage tracking is polled 1 minute after starting NRLM and every 5 minutes thereafter.
  • If usage tracking takes longer than 5 minutes to complete, the operation is cancelled and triggers a FailedToGetUserListInTimelyManner error.
  • Servers using custom Adskflex port configurations are now supported.

Prior to release 3.11, when re-reading a license file, NLRM would not track new added features until it was restarted.
