Linux Network License and Reporting Manager Preinstallation GuideBefore installing Network License and Reporting Manager (NLRM), refer to the NLRM Installation Planning Checklist to make sure that you’ve prepared your system and gathered all the information you need. Installation prerequisitesThe current release of NLRM targets a limited audience and isn’t available to all customers at this time. Review the following limitations to verify that NLRM can be installed on your server. Operating system supportNLRM is best supported on these versions of Linux:
For detailed list of requirements, please refer to the NLM system requirements here. Hardware RequirementsWe recommend to run NLRM with minimum 4GB RAM. Proxy supportNLRM feature support is limited to Non-Authenticated Proxy on Linux. Authenticated Proxy and Proxy Auto-Configuration (PAC) aren’t currently supported in Linux. Connectivity restrictionsIf the license server can connect to Autodesk to send the data, just once every few days, then there is no need for any additional configurations or manual data transfer. Whenever the license server connects to Autodesk, NLRM will send the locally stored data to Autodesk. Please note that the data is stored locally only up to 60 days, after which the old usage data is purged. If the license server can never be allowed to send the data to Autodesk directly, then please configure the server in "Manual" transmit mode at the time of initial setup. The "Manual" mode will require administrator to "export" the usage data from license server machine, transfer it to another machine and send the data from the secondary machine to Autodesk. By default, manual servers are allowed to remain offline(without usage transmission) from 1 to 30 days. For more information see Offline Servers Additional Configuration and Submit usage data manually In limited/no connectivity environments, for storing data locally on the machine, please ensure at least 1 GB of disk space is available.
Currently, you can’t reconfigure these file locations. Before you install NLRM, please keep note of following information about NLRMData CollectedData elements collected by NLRM and sent to Autodesk:
